Five years ago, I began this university with its Foundations Development Year, and I am now ready to finish it as a Manufacturing Systems Engineer. During my time at Sabancı University, I enjoyed many activities, took part in student clubs, attended many extracurricular events and seminars, all with a view towards improving myself.
After all my experiences at Sabancı University, I decided to volunteer for the 2010 Commencement Class Committee. I believe that CCC members must have a firm grasp of their class, convey information to their classmates as developments occur, and seek to achieve consensus on the eventual organization. This is only possible with students that have a wide social network. I also believe that my experience in organization will help me complete this task with ease. My priorities will be preventing the shortcomings of previous commencement ceremonies, and directing the CCC to the best of my abilities to make sure all my friends enjoy the commencement. I will also consult with my friends in design programs to revamp the commencement newsletter and prepare a memorable, creative and impressive yearbook. Finally, I will do my best to convey the spirit to our juniors so that successful commencements become a tradition at Sabancı University.
