Özlem Kalkan, ’05 alumni, has started working as a Business Development Manager at Global İletişim Hizmetleri A.Ş. as of November 2008.
After receiving a degree in Microelectronics Engineering in 2003, Kalkan attended the Leaders for Industry Program where she was introduced to the telecommunications sector as she was completing her project at Borusan Telekom. Following her studies, she worked in the Business Development Department of the two alternative telecommunications operators Teletek and Grid Telekom. Following her last position as the Assistant General Manager of Grid Telekom, she started working as a Business Development Manager of Global İletişim Hizmetleri. She says she is proud to have grasped an opportunity for rapid career growth in a young and dynamic sector and thanks to choosing a career path that is closely related to her education.
