The dinner at the Rectorate on Friday, July 4th was exclusive to the classes of ’04 and ’09, celebrating their 10th and 5th years of graduation, respectively. The highlights of the night were GİYÇEK concept photography shooting by graduate Gözde Otman (BAVACD '07), and live performance by graduate Toros Energin (BAMAN '09) and his band.
The Homecoming event on Saturday began with a tour of the campus led by Tosun Terzioğlu. Next was a panel discussion on “Social Communication, Freedom and Peace” by moderator Ayşe Kadıoğlu and speakers Yağmur Nuhrat, Serkan Ocak and İlker Birbil, and a film screening with introduction by FASS Professor Halil Berktay. The dinner in the FASS Inner Courtyard was the scene to a flash mob making a marriage proposal. The SU Alumni Sweepstakes was held once again with all proceeds going to the SU Scholarship Fund. The grand prize –original sketches drawn by FASS faculty member Erdağ Aksel during meetings he attended at Sabancı University– was won by Eren Arbatlı (BAECON '04).
